Matthew joins TVA Media Group after launching fitness start up StreetStrider. He brings the hands on experience of growing a start up company from the garage into a global brand. Matthew was responsible for all content and the creative direction for the brand including the website and online store StreetStrider.com, establishing presence on all social media platforms and also generating multiple online campaigns including display, remarketing, e-mail, SEO, Facebook and paid search.
In 2011, StreetStrider teamed up with TVA Media Group to help capture the “product in motion” and get it front of millions of people with a national MediaBlitz campaign – StreetStrider “The Elliptical that MOVES you!“. Matthew helped write and co-direct what quickly became the #2 ranked Short Form DRTV Campaign in the USA in 2012 – 2013. (Source: The Jordan Whitney “Greensheet” as published in Electronic Retailer Magazine) The campaign consistently performed at an MER of 3.0+ and peaked at a record MER of 9.0. Leveraging the success of the DRTV campaign, the product’s innovative technology, and multiple health benefits, Matthew and TVA were able to secure high-level print, online, and television placements including: The Dr. Oz Show, Modern Family, The Biggest Loser, Today Show, The Steve Harvey Show, Telemundo, Los Angeles Times and Oxygen Magazine for a combined reach of over 20 million viewers.
Matthew has also worked as a marketing consultant for companies and brands including Under Armour, IMG, And 1 Basketball and The Movember Foundation. Matthew holds a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Communication from the University of the Pacific, where he was an Academic All-American and a captain on the men’s basketball team. After college, Matthew played professional basketball in Australia, England, Argentina and Switzerland before returning home to California in 2009. Matthew’s passions include spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, and staying active in the California sunshine.
